The Sig Sauer P365-XMACRO is the full-grip version of the best-selling P365: a 3.7-inch slide, a frame long enough for every finger, and a 1913 rail, at one inch wide. It comes in four configurations — standard, COMP with an integrated compensator, TACOPS with a flared magwell, and factory Romeo-X optic packages — in both 10-round and 17-round magazine configurations. Same frame, same slide length, same trigger. The differences are what sits on the front of the slide and what comes in the box.
Standard
The baseline: 3.7-inch barrel, XRAY3 day/night sights, optics-ready slide, 1913 rail, interchangeable backstraps. The one to buy if you want the platform without paying for a compensator or an optic you may not use.
Compensated
A 3.1-inch barrel with an integrated compensator built into the slide, so the overall length stays at 3.7 inches while muzzle rise drops noticeably. The flattest-shooting P365 made. Costs a little velocity and adds some flash in low light.
Competition and duty
The standard 3.7-inch barrel with a flared magwell and four magazines in the box instead of two. Built for people who reload under a timer. The magwell makes it slightly harder to conceal and it is the least carry-oriented of the four.
Optic installed
Standard or COMP with Sig’s Romeo-X Compact red dot mounted and zeroed from the factory. Costs less than buying the optic separately and skips the plate-and-screws project. If you already know you want a dot, start here.

Grip length and the rail. The XL uses the mid-length grip module and holds 12 rounds standard; the XMACRO grip is longer, holds 17 standard, and adds a 1913 accessory rail for a light. Slide length is the same 3.7 inches on both, so the practical difference is the longer grip and the rail.
If you shoot fast strings or you are recoil-sensitive, yes — the integrated compensator noticeably flattens the gun and it is the most shootable P365 Sig makes. If you mostly carry and shoot at a moderate pace, the standard XMACRO does everything you need for less. The comp also adds muzzle flash in low light, which some carriers dislike.
Standard P365 and P365 XL magazines are too short for the XMACRO grip and will not lock in. The XMACRO uses its own magazine. XMACRO magazines will work in the shorter P365 grips but will extend below the frame.
The slide is cut for the Shield RMSc footprint, the same pattern used across the P365 line. Sig’s Romeo-X Compact and RomeoZero mount directly, and most compact optics built on that footprint will fit with the correct screws. Larger RMR-pattern optics need an adapter plate. If you want it done for you, the factory Romeo-X packages arrive mounted and zeroed.
Usually not. Most P365 and P365 XL holsters are moulded for the shorter grip or lack a rail cutout. Holsters specifically listed for the XMACRO, or for the P365 XL with rail, are the ones to look for. We stock several; ask at the counter or check the holsters category.
