Urban Tactical Firearms of North Jersey is our Jersey City store on West Side Avenue, and it is where the company started. Open since 2020, it carries handguns, AR-platform rifles, shotguns, ammunition and accessories, and handles FFL transfers for customers across Hudson County. Our staff speak English and Spanish.

We are on West Side Avenue, across the street from an urgent care facility. Parking is on the street.
If you are coming by train, the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail stops at West Side Avenue, the southern terminus of that branch. From the station it is a walk of roughly six tenths of a mile straight up West Side Avenue to the store, about twelve minutes on foot.
FFL transfers
Our FFL transfer fee is $75. To transfer a firearm through this location, send us your dealer’s FFL along with your license. We receive the firearm and complete the transfer following New Jersey guidelines.
What we stock
The Jersey City showroom carries handguns, AR rifles and shotguns, ammunition, and accessories including holsters, magazines, cleaning kits, sights and red dots, gun cases, targets, and safety gear such as earmuffs and eye protection.
Our online store lists a wider selection than any showroom can hold, and nearly everything we sell online we also sell in store. If we do not have a firearm on the shelf, we can order it in for you with fast shipping.
Gun customization
Gun customization work, including magazine pinning at $20, is available at this location on select days. Call ahead at (201) 499-3601 to confirm availability before bringing a firearm in.
Training and permit to carry courses
Training is not held at the Jersey City store. Our New Jersey permit to carry courses run out of our Marlton location, which has a classroom on site and a private range for the qualification exam.
All our Jersey City customers and those in the surrounding area are more than welcome to attend our classes in Marlton. It is the same course wherever you shop with us, and North Jersey students make the trip regularly.
