Beretta at Urban Tactical Firearms
Beretta has been making gun barrels since 1526, which makes it the oldest firearms manufacturer still in business and one of the oldest companies of any kind. It is still owned by the Beretta family, fifteen generations on, in the same valley in northern Italy where Bartolomeo Beretta filled his first order for the Republic of Venice. That kind of continuity shows up in the guns. Beretta rarely chases a trend. It refines what already works, and the results tend to stay in the catalog for decades.
Shooters choose Beretta for two reasons that sound contradictory until you handle one. The first is the finish: the wood-to-metal fit on a Silver Pigeon, the engraving, the way a 92 slide runs like it is on rails. The second is the plain reliability underneath all that. The 92 won the U.S. military service pistol trials in 1985 and served as the M9 for three decades. Beretta gas-operated shotguns are the ones you see on the line at serious clays events, and the same action is what waterfowlers trust in a flooded timber blind at dawn. Beretta describes it as classic design with modern innovation. We would put it more simply: these guns are built by people who expect to still be building them in another hundred years.
The Beretta models we stock
Pistols
- 92 series and M9: the open-slide DA/SA nine that defined a generation of service pistols. We stock the 92FS Inox, the retro 92SB, and the M9 in its original form.
- M9A4 and M9A4 G Centurion: the modern M9, optics-ready with a slimmer straight-backstrap grip and finishes from Bronze to Lunar. The Centurion trims the slide and barrel to 4.8 in for a faster gun.
- 92XI: the single-action-only 92 with a frame-mounted safety, built for competition and for anyone who wants a 1911-style manual of arms on a Beretta. Stocked in several finishes, including Multicam and Chocolate Chip.
- 96A1: the 92 platform chambered in .40 S&W, for shooters who already run that cartridge.
- PX4 Storm: a polymer-frame DA/SA with a rotating barrel that bleeds recoil off sideways instead of into your wrist. The 4 in gun is a duty and nightstand pistol; the 3.2 in version is the one that gets carried.
- APX and APX A1 Tactical: the striker-fired duty pistol with a modular grip and an optics cut. The A1 Tactical adds a threaded barrel and taller sights.
- 80X Cheetah: the return of the all-metal .380, redrawn with a slimmer grip and an optics-ready slide. A soft-shooting carry gun for people who like a hammer.
- B22 Jaguar Tac Metal: a .22 LR on a metal chassis, the easy way to log a lot of rounds on a Beretta trigger.
Semi-auto shotguns
- A300 Ultima Patrol: the home-defense gun that has become a staple since 2023. A 19.1 in barrel, oversized controls and an M-Lok forend, in 12 gauge, including a Multicam Black finish.
- A300 Ultima: the same American-built gas action as a 28 in field gun in 12 or 20 gauge, plus a 19.1 in 20 gauge in black or gray. The simplest way into a Beretta semi-auto.
- 1301 Tactical and 1301 Competition: the Italian-made BLINK action, one of the fastest-cycling gas systems anywhere. The 18.5 in Tactical is the defensive gun; the 21 in Competition is for 3-gun.
- A400 Xtreme Plus KO: the 3.5 in waterfowl gun with a Steelium Plus barrel and Kick-Off recoil reduction. Beretta calls it the softest-shooting waterfowl gun available. Stocked in 26 and 28 in, alongside the standard A400 Xtreme.
- A400 Xcel Sporting: the clays gun, with 28 to 32 in barrels, with or without Kick-Off, and a blue receiver you can spot from across the club.
- A400 Upland, A400 Action and A400 Solo: the lighter field versions. Upland in 12, 20 and 28 gauge with wood furniture, Action in 20 gauge, and Solo in black or camo for the marsh and the timber.
Over and under
- 686 Silver Pigeon I: the low-profile boxlock that has been the default over and under for more than 35 years. We stock the field gun in 12, 20 and 28 gauge and .410, the Sporting in 30 and 32 in with adjustable-comb and left-hand options, and the Vittoria, cut for smaller-framed shooters.
Bolt-action rifles
- BRX1: a straight-pull hunting rifle with a bolt that swaps between right and left hand. Stocked in .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor and .300 Win Mag.
